MONTPELIER MUNICIPAL PARK
1110 South Platt Street (physical address)
The Montpelier Municipal Park is home to 5 baseball & softball diamonds, 2 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, baseball & softball batting cages, a concession stand & restrooms, playground equipment, soccer fields (fall season), a shelterhouse, sand volleyball courts, the public pool, gardens, tree grove, a children's garden and historic Louden Cemetery.
Historic Tree Grove
Southwest of the corner of Henricks and Manor Drives
Created in 1995 to honor Montpelier's Sesquicentennial Celebration, the Historic Tree Grove features 150 trees descended from historic trees from across the country, including several from Civil War battlefields. A work in progress, trees are continually being replaced due to damage or disease. Most of the trees are in good health and have grown from their planting height of 18" to several feet in height. Please contact the Parks & Recreation Department with questions about the tree grove.
Kids' Garden
932 South Pleasant Street (physical address)
Created in 1997 the Kids' Garden has had several incarnations in various locations around Montpelier. Finally, a permanant location was found when property was purchased adjacent to the Municipal Park. There is parking and the site is located beside the Recreation Office.

Main Street Park
309 East Main Street (physical address)
The Main Street Park is a greenspace park that features lawn, flower gardens, trees, park benches, and picnic tables. The park is on the site of the former high school. This park was formed in 2006.
Town Hall
211 North Jonesville Street (physical address)
The island garden at Town Hall was created in 1995 in honor of Montpelier's Sesquicentennial. At the time, it featured plants that would have been growing in 1845 and All-American Selections from 1995. The garden has since been redesigned in a late Victorian style to compliment the 1892 Town Hall architecture.
Minipark
Northeast corner of Main and Jonesville Streets
This minipark is a colorful mix of annuals and perennials with a vintage clock and a park bench.
Robert A. Storrer Municipal Park
Platt Street
Dedicated in November 2011. This park is located on the former site of the Robert A. Storrer Elementary School.

Brickyard Bistro
The Brickyard Bistro alley is designed in the style of the 1950's and 1960's. The alley showcases murals of classic cars and a 1952 Sunbeam motorcycle. The plants in the alley reflect the era and are in cool blues and silvers to mimic the chrome of the cars. This alley also includes cafe tables where visitors may bring their lunch or even a book to read.
Main Street Station
The Main Street Station alley is designed to look like an old-fashioned depot. The mural on the wall illustrates a Wabash locomotive and a slice of life at the end of the 19th century. Special features in this alley include a stage that can be used for outdoor entertainment and Christmas decorations. There is also a marker at the north end of the alley with hobo symbols on it. The plants in the alley are in yellow and white tones and are designed to mimic those plants that may have grown up around a train station. If you look south from the alley down Empire Street you can even see the trains in the railyard as they go by.
Shady Lane
The Shady Lane alley is designed to look like a late Victorian garden complete with a replica fountain and pergolas. The fountain is similar in style to a fountain that was located at Town Hall around 1900 (See a picture of Town Hall circa 1908 here.). The native ferns in the alley are reminiscent of a time when ferns were all the rage in Victorian gardens. The 'Zepherine Drouhin' Bourbon roses on the pergolas are shade tolerant and are cultivars that have been around since 1868. The cornerstone in the alley is from the old waterworks in Montpelier. The seating in the alley is similar to the French wire furniture that was popular in the era.
