MONTPELIER MUNICIPAL PARK

The Montpelier Municipal Park is home to 5 baseball & softball diamonds, 2 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, baseball & softball batting cages, a concession stand & restrooms, playground equipment, soccer fields (fall season), a shelterhouse, sand volleyball courts, the public pool, gardens, tree grove, a children's garden and historic Louden Cemetery.
Historic Tree Grove
Southwest of the corner of Henricks and Manor Drives
Created in 1995 to honor Montpelier's Sesquicentennial Celebration, the Historic Tree Grove features 150 trees descended from historic trees from across the country, including several from Civil War battlefields. A work in progress, trees are continually being replaced due to damage or disease. Most of the trees are in good health and have grown from their planting height of 18" to several feet in height. Please contact the Parks & Recreation Department with questions about the tree grove.
Kids' Garden
932 South Pleasant Street (physical address)
Created in 1997 the Kids' Garden has had several incarnations in various locations around Montpelier. Finally, a permanant location was found when property was purchased adjacent to the Municipal Park. There is parking and the site is located beside the Recreation Office.
