Angela Hillard, Brent Saneholtz, Matthew Reid, Kyle Long, Bethany Coutz

The Montpelier Park Board is here to serve the needs of the park and its patrons.  They meet the first Wednesday of each month at the Recreation Office (932 South Pleasant Street) at 7:00 p.m.

Park Board members serve a 5-year term and one member is appointed each year.  Two members are appointed by the Montpelier Exempted Village School Board and three members are appointed by the Mayor with approval by the Montpelier Village Council.

The Park Board is responsible for the supervision and management of all Village parks, the swimming pool, and any other facility or area designated by Council as well as the the establishment of rules and regulations that govern the operation of the recreation facilities and planning & development of future recreation facilities.

The Montpelier Park Board, Montpelier Municipal Park, and the Montpelier Public Pool were created in 1958.  The Historic Tree Grove was developed in 1995.  Land was purchased for the Main Street Park and Robert A. Storrer Park in 2006.  In November 2021, the Village of Montpelier received deeds to the Wabash Cannonball Trail from Williams County Roads 13 to 17 from the Northwestern Ohio Rails-to-Trails Association (NORTA).  In 2022, Founders Park was developed with funds from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
