On Wednesday, August 5, 2020, the Montpelier Park Board made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Montpelier Soccer season. This was due to the lateness in the season for registration, the current state protocol for contact sports that does not allow spectators, and the uncertainty of future protocols regarding contact sports.

However, the Board wanted to encourage kids and their families to keep up with their soccer skills this fall so they voted to have the U8 soccer goals and nets up at least for through August.

Families are welcome to bring their kids out to play. The fields are unlined, but parents can bring out cones to mark out their own field of play if they like.

The Park Board shares your disappointment but is looking forward to a great soccer season in 2021!
